NICK & NOAH STILL HOTDISC No.1 BUT AUBREY TOPS BRITISH CHART
Nick and Noah Murray are still number 1 with their debut single, "Sling Shot Buddies" in the Hotdisc chart this week. The twins, who were officially the fourth heaviest set of twins in American history when they were born, are now setting more records with their music. Gord Bamford - with a Byron Hill-penned song called "Honkytonks And Heartaches" - slips to 3 while while Slovakian country stars Peter Dula and The Rowers plus guest Billy Ryan climb to number 2 with the excellent "Succeed".
It's a good week for Darren Kozelsky with "Seven Vern Gosdins Ago", as he leaps five to number 5 while Rob Ryan (8), Aubrey Lovejoy (10) and The Bellhops (14) climb nicely within the Top 20, with Aubrey's song "The Cheating Kind" climbing to number 1 in the British and Irish Top 10. Donna Frost and Nicki Gillis both debut inside the Top 20 while the highest entry in the Top 40 comes from Casey Dilworth.
The Hotdisc Top 20 programme presented by Jackie Storrar on CMR Nashville Radio will return on July 9th as Jackie is currently on holiday.

NEWS IN BRIEF...
Hotdisc has just launched one of two new services ahead of schedule. Hotdisc Radio is now live and available from our home page at www.hotdisc.net while Hotdisc TV is due to go live on July 31st.
Hotdisc TV will be showcasing exclusive unplugged tracks by artists such as Stella Parton, Charlie Allen and Nicki Gillis, and star interviews. It will also become a hub for providing links to the best country music videos on the net including Hotdisc acts and also classic star tracks from the past. There will also be a British Country music channel.
Hotdisc Radio has teamed up with radio stations in Europe and Australia to provide hot live links to their own country music programmes so that country music fans can tune in to any of our affiliated country music DJs to hear their shows at the click of a button. How it works is very simple. If a listener is logging in to the site on a Tuesday evening they simply select the Tuesday button and all available country shows will be listed in the order they go to air. They select the programme they want to hear and that is it! To help overseas listeners British time is shown clearly at the top of each page.
More radio news and CMR Nashville has increased its audience again by 30% on both CMR Nashville and the music-only service, CMR Hot are available 24 hours a day from our own site or direct at www.CMRNashville.net and the station has been chosen by the influential "Metro" free newspaper (which is available all over England) as one of their three favourite websites. They will shortly have a new logo and website to freshen things up with many bonus features. MD Lee Williams is currently in Nashville with his artist Brianie and while over there will be looking for an American base for all the CMR Nashville group of companies.
Frank Fara of Comstock Records has released his first album for a while. "Songs of the Untamed West" is a collection of original songs penned by Fara and wallows unashamedly in nostalgia. The 10-track album is the first of its kind and his historically accurate. The cover of the album even features a painting by Frank who is indeed a multi-talented guy! Click www.FrankFara.com for more information.
Cathy-Ann McClintock's current duet with Tim O'Brien is enjoying some nice airplay in Europe at the moment, nestling nicely just outside the Hotdisc Top 20, and the good news is that she is making plans to come over to Ireland and Scotland in November. This will be her first time back in the UK since 2000 when she played some dates in this part of the world. As a writer one of the tracks from her album, "I Wanna Live Like That" has amassed 30 cover versions, something she is thrilled about.
Canadian Gord Bamford, currently at number 3 in the Hotdisc chart, is coming over on July 4th to play a festival in Tours, France. The Festival is a three-day event and features the likes of Charlie McCoy. For more news on the event go to www.country-bike-tours.com
Alan Jackson has announced three dates in Europe but nothing in the UK. He will be playing in Denmark, Norway and Sweden though for the first time ever and already 14,000 tickets in Norway alone. August 13, 14 and 15 are the dates and this will be the first trip for Alan to Europe for 19 years. Got to www.alanjackson.com for details.
Finally, any bonafide DJ who does not receive Hotdisc's Rush Released can now download all the tracks directly from our website. Simply apply with your details to sturadio@aol.com and we will issue you with your password to access our secure site. Note that the password changes with every issue and to stay on the list you must return the reaction sheet each month.
